Dakota's flaw detectors use ultrasound to reveal very fine pits, flaws and porosity within materials and welds. Because the inspection is non-destructive, parts and structures can be evaluated in service without cutting or sectioning, supporting both production quality control and in-field integrity checks.
They complement Dakota's thickness gauges by extending inspection from simple wall-thickness measurement to the detection and evaluation of internal discontinuities.
